National Sailing Championship 2019 from 3rd May
The National Sailing Championship 2019 will begin near Clifton Beach, Karachi here from Friday (tomorrow)to 5th May.
Pakistan Sailing Federation in collaboration with Pakistan Navy is organizing the National Sailing Championship 2019 from 3rd to 5th May here at Oyster rocks in front of Clifton beach Karachi.
The races will be held in Olympic classes of boats including 470, Laser Standard and Windsurfing RSX.
The performance of sailors in Laser Standard will form the criteria for selection for the Al Bareh International Sailing Regatta set to be held in Bahrain next month.
Pakistan Sailing Federation’s (PSAF) secretary Commander Muhammad Akram Tariq said it was going to be a tough competition due to strong wind conditions these days.
“The performance of Laser class will also be considered for participation in Al-Bareh International Sailing Regatta which will be held in Bahrain next month,” Tariq said.
