Pakistan no. 1 Murad Ali & Mahoor in finals of All Pakistan National Ranking Badminton Championship 2019

Pakistan No. 1 Murad Ali of NBP and Mahoor Shahzad of WAPDA reached to the Men and Women Singles finals in the All Pakistan National Ranking Badminton Championship being played here at PSB Coaching Hall, Peshawar.

 
Pakistan No. 1 Murad Ali of NBP and Mahoor Shahzad of WAPDA reached to the Men and Women Singles finals in the All Pakistan National Ranking Badminton Championship being played here at PSB Coaching Hall, Peshawar. 

Murad Ali, hailing from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and current Pakistan No. 1 ranking player recorded victory against his tough rival Anjum Bashir of National Bank in a two sets battle, the score was 23-21 and 21-14.

It was the first set wherein both Murad Ali and Anjum Bashir went to full length against each other with some fine cross court and overhead smashes over all witnessed by jam-packed spectators witnessed the match.

Murad was leading in the first set but Anjum Bashir all the time came from behind and on couple of occasions and even at the set points leveled the tally 18-18, 19-19, 20-20 and 21-21.

Now Murad will face Muhammad Ali Larosh of SNGPL in the final. Ali Larosh upset another promising player Muqeet Tahir, the top seeded player of the Championship in a three sets battle, the score was 21-18, 10-21 and 21-16. Both Ali Larosh and Muqeet Tahir played excellent game, putting each other under tremendous pressure and received thundering applauses from the sitting spectators on their beautiful game.

International Mahoor, who is winning the national championship from the last three consecutive years beat Bushra Qayyum of Wapda very easily, the score was 21-9 and 21-19.

She is also become the top title contender against another in-form player Ghazala Siddique of SNGPL in the grand final of the Women Singles.

Ghazala beat Alja Tariq of Balochistan by 20-22, 21-8 and 21-15. Alja Tariq created a panic like situation when wining the first set by 20-22 but later on she failed to click against in-form Ghazala.
