Youth Asian Games gold medalist Laorsh cause a major upset in the tournament as he thrashed National badminton 2019 champion Ali Mehdi by 2-0.
Larosh proved himself a better player under tense moments with his superior fitness as well move into semifinal in nearly an hour. Larosh faced little bit of resistance but engaged Ali in long rallies and capitalized on soft opportunities as he maintained his lead to win the first game at 21-19.
Ali had to fight for supremacy against a spirited Larosh of SNGPL where Larosh proved a different contender in the second game as he kept playing aggressively and gave no opportunity to Ali to execute his game to seal the game at 21-12 and move into seminal.
In the other quarterfinals Muqeet beat Awais zahid (wapda) and Murad beat Abdu rehman ( wapda) while Anjum beat Azeem serwar (wapda).
Now Larosh will face Muqeet Tahir of Punjab while Murad Ali (NBP) to meet Anjum Bashir (NBP) in the semifinals of ranking tournament.
The events which are contesting in the 4-days long championships includes Men’s singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s singles and women’s doubles. The final of all the categories will be played on 25th April.
