MUPS emerges champion of Leisure Leagues Intra-City Championship 2019 Islamabad
MUPS team beat their 11 other opponents to crown the champions of the Leisure Leagues Islamabad Intra-City Championship 2019 in Islamabad.
Manchester United Pakistani Supporters (MUPS) Football Club stands as the champion of Islamabad in the Leisure Leagues Intra-City Championship 2019 as they struggled to defeat their 11 other competitors of the federal capital. Total Football, on the other hand, secured their berth in the Leisure Leagues National Championship, as winners of Rawalpindi.
“Leisure Leagues is entering its competitive round and it’s our aim to offer teams a platform where they can display their skills and have a chance to compete for the International Socca Federation (ISF) World Cup in Greece,” said World Group Chairman, Mehmood Trunkwala.
MUPS and Total Football will now be representing their cities in the Leisure Leagues National Championship, which will feature nearly 70 cities from throughout the nation.
Leisure Leagues, is a company of World Group, which is owned by The Trunkwala Family. It is the largest global organizer of 5, 6 and 7-a-side football events. Leisure Leagues has considerably large footprints, having organized leagues in Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Leisure has also been operational in United States. Leisure Leagues set foot in Pakistan in 2016.
Leisure Leagues has been seen organizing different small-sided football events throughout Pakistan in more than a dozen cities. LL PK has also played an important role in establishing International Socca Federation (ISF) and also played an important part in organizing first ever ISF World Cup in Portugal. The Pakistan Socca Team was also established by Leisure Leagues, which has participated in ISF Socca World Cup and has won ‘Fair Play’ award.
