Asim Qureshi & Faizan Zahoor mark first win in Liebherr 2019 World Table Tennis Championships

Asim Qureshi along Faizan defeated pair of Brian Chan Yook Fo & Akhilen Yogarajah from Mauritius by 3-2 in Liebherr 2019 World Table Tennis Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Pakistan star table tennis player Asim Qureshi along Faizan defeated pair of Brian Chan Yook Fo & Akhilen Yogarajah from Mauritius by 3-2 in Liebherr 2019 World Table Tennis Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Pakistani pair put a shiny start as they won the first game by 11-8. Mauritians pair came back strongly to win the next two connective games at 11-9 and 11-8.

Asim along Faizan change his gear and didn't allowed opponents to  score points easily as they won next two game at 11-2,11-4 and the match by 3-2 in minutes struggle with the final score line of 11-8, 9-11,8-11, 11-2, 11-4.  

In the Men's singles group matches, Faizan Zahoor thrashed 31-years-old Talant Sagyndykov of kyrgyzstan by 4-0.16 years old Pakistani produced a skillful game to win the match with the final score line of 11-5,11-5,11-8, 11-5 in just 13 minutes.   

Asim Qureshi lost to Florent Lambiet  of Belgium by 4-0 with the final score line of 14-12, 11-5, 11-3, 12-10 in the men's singles group no.9 match. 

Pakistan six member team comprises of Asim Qureshi, Faizan Zahoor, Shah Khan, Shabnam Bilal, Fatima Khan and coach Ehsan Ul Haq Idrees (coach) are participating in the mega event.
