15-member Pakistani cricket World Cup 2019 squad named

Chief selector Inzamam Ul Haq announced the 15-member Pakistani cricket team that will be participating in the 2019 Cricket World Cup which is scheduled to be held from 30th May and will continue till 14th July in England and Wales.

Chief selector Inzamam Ul Haq announced the 15-member Pakistani cricket team in the much-awaited press conference in which is briefed that the fast bowler, Muhammad Aamir has been dropped from the World Cup squad as his performances recently were deemed below par. 

The squad includes: Fakhar Zaman, Shoaib Malik, Muhammad Hafeez, Imam Ul Haq, Sarfraz Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Abid Ali, Babar Azam, Hassan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Muhammad Hasnain, Haris Sohail, Imad Wasim, Faheem Ashraf and Junaid Khan.


The 2019 Cricket World Cup, officially ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is the 12th edition of the Cricket World Cup, scheduled to be hosted by England and Wales from 30th May to 14th July, 2019. 

Ten non-ODI warm-up matches will be played from 24 to 28 May, 2019. Pakistan will play its first match on 31st May against West Indies and the second match against the host, England on 3rd June. The most thrilling match for the Pakistan spectators will be the one in which Pakistan will be encountering the arch rival team: India in their 5th match on 16th June. Before that game, Pakistan will play two matches, against Sri Lanka and Australia, respectively.

- 5 July: Pakistan VS Bangladesh
