Amar Ali wins silver medal in Open Polish Ju Jitsu Championship 2019

Pakistani grappler, Amar Ali secured a silver medal in the 2019 Open Polish Ju Jitsu Championship which was held in Wolomin, Poland.

The Open Polish Ju Jitsu Championship was organized by World Sports Jiujutsu Organization into the current year, which marked its 24th edition. This tournament was organized separately for children, youngsters, cadets, juniors and veterans.

The participants belonged to five different nations which included: Poland, Lithuania, Georgia, Ukraine and Pakistan. Every player had to fight every player in a single weight category.

From Pakistan, it was Amar Ali ho flew to Poland to take part in this mega international event and with his great skills and passion for the sport, he did not let his nation down but made us proud by securing a silver medal among his several leading competitors. He was up against the host country's fighter. 

The Multan born Pakistani MMA star, Amar Ali lost his first match but the score was equal which was, 5 each and from then on, he kept his dominating performance against his Polish opponent and won the second, third and the fourth, that was the decisive match as for silver or bronze medal, which declared him the winner claiming the silver medal in his category.  

Till the last minute, his opponent was leading the match with points and when at the end, almost 30 to 40 seconds were left in the fight, Amar went on for submission and he tapped due to collar choke.
