WAPDA secures top spot in 13th National Men's Tug of War Championship
About 9 teams participated in the 2019 National Men's Tug of War Championship which successfully concluded with WAPDA claiming the title at Pakistan Sports Complex in Karachi.
Sindh Tug of War Association under the supervision of Pakistan Tug of War Federation organized the National Tug of War Championship into the current year which marked its 13th edition.
As many as nine (9) teams competed in this two-day event, that belonged to several departments, as well as the provinces of the country and players from their respective teams were seen giving their all so as to earn the ultimate title of the championship.
Participating teams included: Pakistan Army, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Balochistan, Pakistan Navy, Sindh, Punjab, Police, Gilgit Baltistan (GB), Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and Pakistan Railways.
WAPDA, among the above mention 9 teams, emerged to be the title winner as the players did not let the opponent team take the victory home and completely dominating the final match, won the championship. WAPDA was followed on the runner up position by Army team, whose boys strong performance earned them the runner up title in the championship while the third spot was managed by Railways team.
