Hina nominates 'Best Athlete' in 3rd Arsh Sports Gala 2019

Deputy Speaker KP Assembly Mehmood Jan was the chief guest on this occasion. CEO Arsh Foundation Bara and known psychiatric Miss Humaira Khan, Zubair of Khyber Foundation, head of organizing committee Miss Shazia and Miss Kaiynat, former international athletes Asad Khan, Zakir Khan, Saqib Khan, large number of parents of the participating 3000 children from as many as 28 boys and girls schools, situated in across Merger Tribal Districts (MTDs) took part in athletic (boys & girls), futsal, badminton (boys & girls), table tennis (boys & girls), spoon race, sake race and fancy dress show.
It is for the first time that such a big number of schools turned up on one place and took part in the 3rd edition of the Arsh Sports Gala organized by Arsh Foundation Bara, Khyber District, Deputy Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Mahmood Jan said while addressing the colourful mini-Olympiad.
He appreciated the organizing committee for masterminding the Arsh Sports Gala by involving and providing opportunities to the most neglected school children of merger tribal districts. He assured them full govt support. “It is really very encouraging to see such a good talent among boys and girls of the schools of merger tribal districts and with such activities these kids would come up at national and international levels,” Deputy Speaker Mahmood Jan added.
He said the present govt is striving hard to provide ample opportunities to the youth and that is why in all 25 Tehsils of merger tribal districts would be equipped with playing field facilities. He said the Directorate General of Sports KP has kicked off preparation for holding merger district Games wherein 3000 athletes would take part in 28 different Games.
In the 60m sprint Hina Khan, Iqra, and Alina of Iqra School Bara won gold, silver and bronze medals while in 100m boys Muhammad Asad, Ahmad Shah, Farman Ali Asia Public School, Hope Public School, Khyber School won position. Aliza Ikram and Arsh Asad of City School won Girls Badminton title while Muhammad Qasim and Fahad won boys title. In the spoon race Warda and Sameer won the trophies while Shahid, Yamamer, Shayan Afridi, Younis of Asia Public School and Abdullah of Horizon won medals in 60m and 40m races.
In kids races Aabida of Iqra, Yusra of AUPs and Nahida of Asia won medals in 40m race, in 60m Fatima of Khyber, Zolaiha amd Hafsa of Iqra won gold, silver and bronze medals, in 40m race Husra, Haleema and Tuba of Khyber won positions, in 20m race Nida Gul, Mehak and Arooba of Horizon won positions, in 60m Shayan of Hamdard, M. Kashif of Govt School, Aamir of Shaheen won medals, in 80m Sabir of Al-Momin, Usman of Abaseen and Arif Ullah of Al-Momin Public Schools won medals.
Fahad, Usman, Haris in 60m race, Mudasir, Hamza, Ismail in 50m and in 80m Ahmad, Hamza Khan and Amad Tariq of Pak Education School won medals. Basit of Khyber, Ali of Asia and Rafi of Iqra Schools won medals in 60m race (boys category). Binyamin of Qurtaba, Siraj of Al-Momin and Salam of Iqra won the trophies.
In Futsal HSC-B won the winner trophy, followed by HSC-A branch while Faizan was declared best goal-keeper and Yahya got best player trophy. The table tennis girls trophy won by Iqra, Hamdard got runners-up while Asia Public won the trophy of Table Tennis and Khyber took runners-up trophy.
At the end, the chief guest Deputy Speaker KP Mahmood Jan gave away trophies, medals, certificates and cash prizes to the position holders.
