Abbas Zeb bags ASF 'Hassan Musa Award' for outstanding performance in 2018

Pakistan’s junior squash player Abbas Zeb has won the Asian Squash Federation (ASF) award for outstanding performance in 2018.

Pakistan’s junior squash player Abbas Zeb has won the Asian Squash Federation (ASF) award for outstanding performance in 2018. 

The winners of ASF Awards 2018 were announced by ASF. Abbas bagged the Hassan Musa Award for outstanding performance of the year in juniors category.

No Pakistani player managed any award in seniors category. The award for outstanding team of the year was won by Malaysia for its performance in 2018 Asian Games. Iran’s men’s team was declared the most improved team of the year by ASF.

No Pakistani coach won any award in either senior or junior category. They also failed to win any certificate of recognition by ASF. The coaches who won certificates of recognition were: Hong Kong’s Fung Wing-Ming, Anson Kwong, and Danny Yip; Iran’s Fatemeh Alsadat Haidary, Malaysia’s Mohammad Ammar, Zulfiqar Khan, Tay Jess, Foo Kean Ghee, Kho Yang Yang, and Qatar’s Ong Beng Hee. The awards will be presented at the Prize Presentation Ceremony of the Asian Individual Championships 2019 on May 5 in Kuala Lumpur.
