9 teams line-up to compete in 10th National Beach Handball Championship
The 10th edition of National Beach Handball Championship will roll into action on 26th April and will continue till 28th April at Handball Stadium Agriculture University in Faisalabad.
Pakistan Handball Federation is back with a mega handball event, this time on a national level which has been named as "National Handball Championship" into the current year that marks its 10th edition.
This championship will feature a total of about nine (9) teams belonging to different departments and divisions of the country, players from whom will be seen competing against each other will all their talent and skill in the sport so as to earn high honors in the championship. Army team will be defending the title.
Participating teams are as under:
1. Army
2. Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA)
3. Police
4. Railways
5. Higher Education Commission (HEC)
6. Balochistan
7. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK)
8. Islamabad
9. Sindh
10. Punjab
As per the information provided by the Pakistan Handball Federation, participation of an Afghanistani team is also expected in this championship subject to clearance from the federal government.
The end of this championship will also decide on the Pakistani team that will participate in the 7th Asian Beach Handball Championship in China from 15 to 22 June, which is also a qualification round for this year’s World Beach Games and the World Beach Handball Championship next year.
