Pakistan won their group match against Philippines by 3-0 in the final qualifying round of the Junior Davis Cup at Bangkok, Thailand.
Pakistan won their first encounter in group match against Philippines by 3-0 in the final qualifying round of the Junior Davis Cup at Bangkok, Thailand.
In the first singles match, Zalan Khan gave Pakistan a good start as he remained very cool and composed and utilized his experience to tamed his energetic opponent Edgrardo Manuel Angara by 2-0 in a one sided affair with the final score line of 6-2,6-3.
Abdullah Khan thrashed Axl Lajon Gonzaga as the Pakistani junior hit excellent return of serves and passed while he didn't allowed his opponents to score points to win the encounter by 2-0 with the final score line of 6-0, 6-1 in the second match.
In the doubles encounter, the Pakistan pair of Abdullah Adnan and Rayan Jawad defeated Edgrardo Manuel Angara & Axl Lajon Gonzaga by 2-1 with the final score line of 7-5,4-6, 10-3.
Now, Pakistan will face Indonesia on Thursday (11th April) at 7:00 am (PST).

Thailand defeated Pakistan 3-0. In the first singles, Guntinun Sootinun Opart beat Abdullah Adnan 6-4, 6-4. Shisanuphong Pokinsagethasiri then defeated Zalan Khan 6-2, 6-4.
In the doubles match, Thai pair of Tanapatt Nirundorn and Shisanuphong Pokinsagethasiri thrashed the Pakistani duo of Abdullah Adnan and Rayan Jawad 6-0, 6-1. Pakistan will now face Philippines.
Pakistan have been placed in Group C with Chinese Taipei, Thailand and Philippines. The Pakistan team compromises of the living legend of Pakistan Tennis, Rashid Malik (Captain), Abdullah Adnan, Zalan Khan and our very own super star Rayan Jawad.
