Taimoor Khan wins 58th National Amateur Golf Championship
The 2019 edition of National Amateur Golf Championship concluded successfully with Taimoor and Rimsha winning the titles of men and women categories at Garrison Golf Course in Lahore.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Taimoor Khan was the one who claimed the title of the 58th edition of National Amateur Golf Championship which successfully concluded yesterday as on the final day his scores were 76, 72, 73, 69 and a four rounds aggregate of 290, his closet opponent stood Zahoor with his splendid game but could not claim the victory of the championship and had to settle for the second spot.
Zulfiqar Ali from Multan, Wazir Ali of Gymkhanaand Zohaib Asif from DHA Karachi managed the 3rd, 4th and 5th positions, respectively. The Net section winners were Raja Israr who stood at the spot while Mohsen Zafar and Robin Bagh bagged the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Rimsha Ijaz of Defence Raya's final scores of 76, 76, 73 won the the first position in the Ladies event and she was followed by the talent golfer, Hamna Amjad from PAF on the second spot and the third position went to Ghazala Yasmin belonging to Garrison Club. Ladies net section winners are: Mrs Aisha Moazzam, Daniya Eyaz and Ana James Gill on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively.
Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) President, Lt Gen (R) Hilal Hussain and Lt Gen (R) Khalid Maqbool were the guests of honor who awarded the high achievers with prizes.
Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) organized the 58th edition of National Amateur Golf Championship that featured a noticeable number of leading golfers of the country, such as: Ashiq Hussain, Ghazanfar Mehmood, Salman Jehangir,Khalid Mehmood,Salman Akhter, the young - Muhammad Saqib, Hussain Hamid, Danish Javed, Ayaz Saleem, Shahid A Khan, Mohsin Zafar; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was well represented by merited names like Taimoor Khan, Mohammad Ashfaq and Kabir Khan. From Sindh, the best skill golfers were Saim Shazli along with his team mate, Sajid Khan and another one, Zohaib Asif. Other notable appearances included: Babar Khokher and Umer Khokher from Federal Golf Association.
All of these skilled golfer along with several others were seen competing with all their talent in the sport so as to earn top honors in the championship among which Taimoor Khan, Raja Israr, Rimsha Ejaz and Mrs Aisha Moazzam became successfully to claim the first spots in their respective categories.
