Rawal Town Cricket Club advances to East Zone of ICA Cup 2019

Rawal Town Cricket Club defeated Quaid-e-Azam Club by 68 runs and moved to the east zone of Islamabad Cricket Association (ICA) Cup 2019 which is being held at different venues.

The first match of the day, in which Rawal Town Cricket Club and Quaid-E-Azam Cricket Club were battling for the win, it was Rawal Town Cricket Club that stood victorious over the week side of Quaid-E-Azam Cricket Club as the team claimed the win by 68 runs. Shakir Mehmood hit 79 off 53 balls with 10 fours to help Rawal Town Cricket Club and earned them the place in the next round in East Zone of the tournament.

It was a stunning and a thrilling game as Quaid-E-Azam Cricket Club team's performance was quite of a show when the team defeated their opponent team; CRA Cricket Club by 35 runs and won in their last but this time the team fell short on their batting and lost by a huge margin of 68 runs.  

At Marghazar Cricket Ground, the second clash was between Lucky Star Cricket Club and Model Town Cricket Club in which Lucky Star Cricket Club defeated Model Town Cricket Club by 10 wickets while the third match at At Al-Muslim Cricket Ground witnessed Mehran Cricket Club's win over Lashings Club by 8 wickets in a one-sided game.

The last game was won by Youngsters Cricket Club over Junoon Club as the winner team's boys thrashed the opponents by 80 runs at Al-Muslim Cricket Ground. The day before, Junoon Cricket Club's performance was good enough to earn them a win against P&T Cricket Club by 37 runs but the team fell the next day to the strong side of Youngsters Cricket Club players by a huge difference of 80 runs.

Islamabad Cricket Association (ICA) has organized the ICA Cup into the current year which is featuring a noticeable number of cricket clubs from all over the federal capital of the country and the players from these respective teams are seen competing with all their talent to earn the ultimate title of the tournament.
