58th National Amateur Golf Championship tees off today

A noticeable number of leading golfers are participating in this four-day National Amateur Golf Championship 2019 which is all set to begin today at Garrison Golf Course in Lahore.

Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) has organized the 58th edition of National Amateur Golf Championship which is all set to swing into action from today and is featuring several leading golfers of the country along such as: Ashiq Hussain, Ghazanfar Mehmood, Salman Jehangir, Khalid Mehmood, Salman Akhter, the young - Muhammad Saqib, Hussain Hamid, Danish Javed, Ayaz Saleem, Shahid A Khan and Mohsin Zafar, with many others who will be seen competing with all their skill in the sport so as to earn top honors in the championship. 

“On offer is the National Amateur Golf Title for the year and though accomplished aspirants are many, the most battle hardened one who can perform under pressure is likely to end up in jubilation and triumph,” said a spokesperson of PGF.

The golfers who wish to participate in the Men’s category must have the eligibility of a handicap of 7 and below. Ladies Event, Seniors Amateur Competitions and the Inter Association Team Match between all the provinces will also be contested. 

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be represented by merited names like Taimoor Khan, Mohammad Ashfaq and Kabir Khan. From Sindh, the best skill posing golfers will be Saim Shazli along with his team mate, Sajid Khan and another one, Zohaib Asif are expected to perform well. Others notable appearances will be: Babar Khokher and Umer Khokher from Federal Golf Association.
