PTF named squad for South Asia Regional Qualifying Event of ITF Asian 12&U Team Championship
The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) selected the trio of Haider Ali Rizwan, Ahtesham Humayun and Hasnain Ali Rizwan for the South Asian Regional Qualifying Event of the ITF Asian 12 and under Team Championship from May 12 to 17 in Bangladesh.
The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) selected the team for the South Asian Regional Qualifying Event of the ITF Asian 12 and under Team Championship after conducting three-day trials that saw 10 players take part.
Following three players were selected after three days of extensive trials:
- Muhammad Haider Ali Rizwan
- Ahtesham Humayun
- Muhammad Hasnain Ali Rizwan
The event is to be held from May 12 to 17 in Bangladesh and the players will be accompanied by Azim Khan as non-playing captain/coach during the event.
Teams from Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Pakistan will compete in boys’ category while women’s category will feature teams from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and India.
Last year, India has won the South Asian Under-12 Qualifying Tennis Tournament after defeating host Nepal in the finals in Kathmandu.
