SSGC crown champion of All Pakistan NBP Football Tournament 2019
Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) earn the title of 2019 All Pakistan NBP Football Tournament 2019 by easily defeating Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) at Colony Sports Ground Malir in Karachi.
Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) team started at a whirlwind pace and the opponent team: Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) had to withstand a constant barrage of attacks right from the start.
SSGC's talent Abdul Salam brilliantly opened the tally of scoring for his team as he slammed a goal right in the back of the opponent net in the 24th minute andthe hald time ended as SSGC team leading on 1-0 score line. Other members of the team contributed through a string of fabulous saves as the PCAA giants pressed to claw back at the score-line to turn the table in their favor but failed miserably as they were not able to goal a single time in the game.
Footballers from SSGC enjoyed the bulk of possession which PCAA boys tried hard to take away to them but the players could not break down the hard-working SSGC side.
Larosh and Raziq were two other SSGC stars, making a number of great tackles plus attempts and finally got successful in making their way through the opponent’s net by enhancing their score line by 2-0 in the 57th minute and adding yet another goal at the 79th minute, respectively.
To this win, the SSGC team coach, Tariq Lutfi said,“It was a tough game but fortunately we won it convincingly. We had not invited any of our out-stationed international players and played with the local crop as we are also going to use our bench in future events particularly the Premier League, we definitely need players in our front-line and are searching for them."
We had invited Larosh from Sahiwal for a couple of matches on a trial basis. He was not very fit but his touches were good. We also tested, unofficially, a young stopper Sardar Wali from Chaman. He is a poor boy and is from Mohammad Essa's team. He had also been tested by me in Gwadar. We are trying to strengthen our line-up,” the coach informed.
Imam Bux Baloch, Head of Board of Directors National Bank of Punjab (NBP) wasthe honorable guest of honor who witnessed the winner being decided and late gave away the prizes to the winner team as well as the high achievers of the tournament. This football event was organised by renowned football organizer, Zameer Ul Islam in which several departmental teams from the country took part and the players from their respective teams were seen making all their effort so as to earn the title of the tournament for their team.
National Bank of Punjab (NBP) sponsored another sports event this time, football and thus was the title sponsor of the tournament.
