Mohsin, Zulqarnain & Saad wins 45th Annual Athletics Meet
Several athletes participated in the 2019 Annual Athletics Meet of the Government M.A.O. College which concluded successfully at the College Campus in Lahore.
The opening ceremony started with the elegant parade march led by sensational band masters, it featured various sports among which some were 800 and 400 Meters Race, Sack Race, Ball Throw, Spoon Race, Long Jump, Shot Put and Chatti Race and many more. Several athletes took part in this mega event and they were all seen competing hard against each other so as to earn top positions in their categories.
Mohsin Ahsan stood the winner among several others who won the titles in their respective sports competitions, Muhammad Zulqarnain bagged first position in Shot Put while Saad Sultan won the title of Sack Race. Ihsan Ullah was declared the title holder of 400 Meters Race and Hamza Iqbal claimed the Long Jump contest at the top spot. In girls category, Saba Arif won the title of Spoon Race.
Maqsood Ul Hassan Bokhari, former Principal of the College along with Qamar Waheed Khan, distinguished Academician in Physical Education and gifted sportsman himself, were the honorable guests of honor who graced the event open and witnessed the games being played and later, also distributed prizes among the high achievers of the event.
College Principal, Dr. Farhan Ibadat Yaar Khan said, “Sports event like this generates interest and enthusiasm of sports among students, which is unfortunately disappearing in today’s generation and participation of senior faculty members in race is an inspiring moment for them.”
