Director Admin, SBP, Javed Chohan, Director Sports Hafeez Bhatti, Deputy Directors Tariq Wattoo, Shahid Nizami, Assistant Director Zahoor Ahmed, Divisional Sports Officer Nadeem Qaiser and Chief Consultant SBP Shahid Faqeer Virk were also present during the draws ceremony.
The draws ceremony was conducted in the presence of all the divisional sports officers and secretaries of all sports associations. According to some initial draws, Sahiwal will face Multan in opening football clash at Model Town ground on April 3, 2019.

DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar speaking on the occasion said SBP is going to organize Punjab Games from April 3 to 6, 2019 at Nishtar Park Sports Complex, Lahore. “I personally conducted the entire proceedings only to ensure transparency in the draws process”.
He said the Punjab Games are being organised after 8 years. “This grand event will definitely prove to be a turning point in the sporting history of the province and beginning of bright sports era,” he added.
Around 3,000 male and female players will take part in 30 games during the mega event. Male players will take part in 21 games, female athletes in seven disciplines while special children will also show their sports skills in two games.
Following is the list of games:-
Games for male players: Archery, athletics, bodybuilding, karate, wrestling, boxing, kick-boxing, badminton, baseball, cycling, football, gymnastics, hockey, kabaddi, tennis, pentathlon, roller sports, squash, swimming, weightlifting and volleyball.
Games for female players: Taekwondo, wushu, table tennis, athletics, basketball, handball and volleyball.
Games for special children: Athletics and cycling.
