Veterans Reds, Veterans Yellows and Sherwani Motors Veterans won their matches in the super-six round of the Veterans Hockey League that resumed after a layoff at the Olympian Islahuddin-Dr M. A. Shah Hockey Stadium, Karachi.
In the first match of the day, Former players Zulfiqar Hussain, Tasneem Usmani and Arif Bhopali struck a goal each as Pakistan Veterans Reds carved out a 3-2 victory over Tigers Veterans while Imtiaz and Asif Ali netted one goal each for losers.
Pakistan Veterans Yellows outplayed Dolphin Veterans by 4-0 Naseem Ahmed (2), Mohammad Yousuf and Mohammad Ali one each, earned scoring honours for the winners.
In the third match, Sherwani Motors Veterans scored 2-0 victory over Hyderabad Veterans with Zafar and Sohail Anwar sharing scoring honours.
