Omega & Nishtar Basketball Clubs qualify for NBP Pakistan Day Basketball Tournament 2019 Finals
The semi-finals of NBP Pakistan Day Basketball Tournament 2019 concluded with Omega and Nishtar Basketball Clubs making their way into the final of the tournament which will be played at Arambagh Basketball Court in Karachi.
Omega Basketball Club was up against One Unit Basketball Club in which Omega Basketball Club boys overpowered the weak One Unit Basketball Club team entirely in a one sided encounter of 62-39.
The boys from Omega Basketball Club knew they had to fight hard to reach the final stage of tournament so as to earn the title for their team but they faced a weak game-play from the opposite side which allowed them to gain a comfortable win in the match. As both the teams tried their level best to rule the day, Omega Basketball Club came out much stronger who thwarted to make their place in the final showing more composure in the game than their opponents.
Talented Taimur Zaheer led the attack for the winning team through scoring 13 points whereas Usman Khalid made 12 successful shots and Tahir Naqash and Abbas Qaimkhani each scored 11 points. All the boys displayed their true skills proving their fine game of dribble, pass and shoot on the floor. More contribution in the big win were of 10 points by Anas Azhar.
For the losing team they did try to get better in their game but ended up losing with their player Tashfeen Zaidi ’s 15 andKashif Sarwar and Talal Ahmed, who both scored 9 points each. One Unit Basketball Club failed at their performance thus suffered at the hands of the winning team.
The other semi-final clash saw Nishter Basketball Club team players roaring on the court to book their place in the final as they defeated Neighborhood Basketball Club in a much hard fought match by 47-42 as the final score line.
This mega basketball event has been named as "Pakistan Day Basketball Tournament 2019" which is featuring a total of about 12 teams from the city of lights: Karachi and the players from their respective teams are seen battling against each other so as to earn the ultimate title of the tournament. This tournament is being played on knock-out basis.
