One Unit & Neighborhood Basketball Club move to NBP Pakistan Day Basketball Tournament 2019 semis
One Unit Club won over Karachi Basketball Club 57-53 while Neighborhood Club earned the win against Nicole Ballerz Basketball Club by 57-52 to reach to the semi-final stage of NBP Pakistan Day Basketball Tournament 2019 which is being held at Arambagh Basketball Court in Karachi.
In first match of the day One Unit basketball team outplayed their rivals Karachi Basketball Club team by 57-53 and ended the game in their favor which booked them a place in the semi-final stage pf the tournament.
Players from both teams seem to equalize the scoreline one after the other shoot but as the match proceeded, Karachi boys were lacking skills, stamina and form against the super fit One Unit players as they dominated the game and through there impressive ball-handling skills reduced every possible chance for the losing team to even slightly come close the win.
Tashfeen Zaidi proved as a key player for the winning team as he dunked 24 points right through the basket with quiet well assists by his team mate Nihal who managed to score 15 points. Talal's 10 more points also contributed in the big win for One Unit team.
For the losing side, Raj Kumar with 21 points and Fuzail Ahmed's 12 points played well but their contribution could not help their team win the quarters game.
While in the other game, Neighborhood Basketball Club also finished the match in their favor through a diffcult time given to them by the opponent players but the winning team crushed the Nicole Ballerz basketball team's hopes to let them move to the semis of the tournament. The winning team started putting opponents in pressure through Arham Lateef who scored 19 points for his team with his excellent passing and dipping skills. Whereas Jaffar Rehmat Ullah with 16 and Hassan Motiwala with 12 successful shots also helped their team earn a spot in the semi-finals of the tournament.
This mega basketball event has been named as "Pakistan Day Basketball Tournament 2019" which is featuring a total of about 12 teams from the city of lights: Karachi and the players from their respective teams are seen battling against each other so as to earn the ultimate title of the tournament. This tournament is being played on knock-out basis.
