Karachi, Omega & Neighborhood Clubs win NBP Pakistan Day Basketball Tournament 2019 openers
The 2019 NBP Pakistan Day Basketball Tournament commenced with 3 clubs recording wins in the opening matches played at Arambagh Basketball Court in Karachi.
Karachi Basketball Club and Usman Basketball Club were the teams who faced each other in the very first match played into the tournament where Karachi team once again proved their talent by making their opponent team suffer the loss of the first match just by a different of 7 points that is; 57-50.
Karachi team's first win was brought to them by Raj Kumar who scored the most 23 points and due to the well assistance of Zain Ul Abdeen, as he dubbed 12 points. Also, Fuzail contributed with 12 points. While for the losing side, it was much of a close loss. Faizan Yousuf, Hasan Ali, Hamza and Daniyal Khan were the players to score for Usman Basketball Club but they were not able to win the match.
Where as in the second match played on the first day of the tournament witnessed Omega Basketball Club win over One-Unit Basketball Club on a 46-40 score-line. Taimur Zaheer proved to be the star player for the winning team as he score 14 points.
Neighborhood Club won the third encounter as a one-sided affair against Mumbasa Squad Basketball Club on a 67-57. It was Abdullah who made it to the basket for severak times and making it a 25 points in total which contributed in the win for his team.
Assistant Commissioner Arambagh, Muthahir Amin Hayat Watoo was the guest of honor who graced the event open.
National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) is sponsoring yet another sport event, this time in the field of basketball as Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) has organized another basketball event to mark the day of Pakistan that is March 23rd.
