Minahil, Nataliya, Hadiya & Zaira wins 1st PGA girls golf match

Minahil, Nataliya, Hadiya and Zaira stands at the top spots in their respective age category in the first very Punjab Golf Association (PGA) girls golf match that concluded successfully at Defence Raya Golf Course in Lahore.

This first very Punjab Golf Association's golf event for little girls teed off with the youngest player Noor Bano from Gymkhana, 5 year old but it was Minahil Asghar belonging to Margalla Greens Golf Club who stands at the first position in the overall match as she not only won the title of under-11 years of age category by posting gross of 47 but also won the team event along with Zaria for Islamabad. Whereas Amina Tiwana from Gymkhana and Defence Raya Golf Club's Shanzay Malik managed the second and third spots, respectively. 

In the under-8 gross category, Nataliya Shahzadi of Gymkhana won the top position and she was followed by Margalla Greens' Zoha Zeeshan and then the third position went to Zaina Zeeshan also from Margalla Greens.

While Hadiya Osama of Lahore Gymkhana claimed the under-14 category title, beating Laiba Shah of Lahore Gymkhana and Adina Ata Ullah of Garrison Club. 

This event was organized by the ladies team headed by Dr Asma Shami. Mrs Sarwar, wife of Governor Punjab, graced the occasion as chief guest and awarded prizes to the winners.the competitions will be held over nine (9) holes and will be contested on stroke play format 

This event was organized by Punjab Golf Association (PGA) and Ladies Golf in Pakistan's Chairperson, Dr Asma Shami, Mrs Sarwar, wife of Governor Punjab, graced the event open as chief guest and awarded prizes to the high achievers. The competitions were held over nine (9) holes and this golf event was hugely endorsed by Big Bird Foods.  

This is the very first effort made by Punjab Golf Association (PGA) for the teen girls to provide them with an opportunity to display their talent in this expensive sport as this competition was open to all girls falling in the age bracket of 14 years and below.

The youngest golfer to participate was Noor Bano, as she is just five years old while another one is Zoha Zeeshan who is six and others falling in 10 years and below age bracket are Zaina Zeeshan, Natalia Shahzadi Chaudri, Zoha Asif and Anaya Fareed. 

There were other 15 golfers belonging to the age group between 11 and 14 years. The girls in the age group 11 to 14 years competed against each other while the second category was the age group 8 to 10 years who competed in the youngest category of age bracket below 7 years.
