Hasheesh Kumar and Hamid Israr reached the boys’ U-18 final of the Servis Tyres National Junior Tennis Championships after recording contrasting victories in their respective semi-finals.
While Hasheesh struggled to beat Faizan Fayyaz 6-0, 1-6, 6-2, Hamid had a smooth sailing against Ahmed Kamil in the other semi-final as the former won the match 7-6, 6-2.
Hamid also qualified for the boys’ U-14 final after beating Shaeel Tahir 6-2, 6-2.
Meanwhile, Shimza Durab and Maha Said won the the girls’ U-18 semi-finals. Shimza outplayed Ashtifila Arif 6-0, 6-0 and Maha carved out a 7-5, 6-4 win against Rahat Javed.
