In boys U-18, both Bilal Asim and Hasheesh Kumir struggled to overcome their respective rivals, Abdul Hanan Khan and Mohammad Mohtaheer. Bilal faced a tough fight before completing a 6-3, 6-7, 10-5 victory in around 45 minutes.
Hasheesh came from behind to beat Muhateer 4-6, 6-4, 10-7 in another thrilling match of the day. In other matches, Ahmed Nael, Hamid Israr, Huzaima Abdul Rehman, Faizan Fayyaz earned easy victories.
The matches of U-18 and U-10 girls start on Friday.
