QUA wins All Pakistan Universities Zone H Basketball Championship 2019 title

The 2019 All Pakistan Universities Zone H Basketball Championship concluded successfully with Quaid-E-Awam University (QAU) Nawabshah claiming the title at Sindh Agriculture University in Tando Jam.

The final match of the championship saw Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tando Jam and Quaid-E-Awam University (QAU) Nawabshah battling for the title win in which it was Quaid-E-Awam University (QAU) Nawabshah players who proved their strength ahead of their opponents and named the final win to their side on a final score line of 48-32.

The best player to score most points and who also played a huge role in this final win of the championship for the winner team was Hasnain who stood on top with his accurate 12 shots right into the basket while he was definitely not alone but well assisted by Hamza who managed to dub 10 points whereas Zeeshan also contributed in his team's win with 8 points in total.

On the other hand, Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tando Jam suffered a great loss as they lost the final game but their performance was much appreciate-able as the players were seen giving their all on the court. It was Balaj, Javed and Tabish who scored 10, 8 and 6 points, respectively.

Pakistan Basketball Federation Vice President, Ghulam Muhammad Khan and SAU Director Sports, Anwar Hussain Khanzada were the guests of honor at the concluding ceremony of the championship, who later also distributed trophies and prizes among the high achievers throughout the championship. 

On this occasion, Pakistan Basketball Federation Vice President, Ghulam Muhammad Khan said such events will help promote basketball at grass root level and with such events at university level, the youth will be included to constructive activities. He said that more events and training camps will be held in interior Sindh to unearth new talent and promote the same.

The All Universities Zone H Basketball Championship was organized in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) at Sindh Agriculture University in Tando Jam that featured several universities from which players were seen competing hard enough to gain top honors in the championship but at the end, the title of this championship was clinched by Quaid-E-Awam University (QAU) Nawabshah, who now stands as the champion team.
