Former Barcelona footballer Carles Puyol all set to visit Pakistan for World Soccer Stars Event on 16th March
Barcelona legend Carles Puyol will land in Karachi on March 16 to officially kick-off the ticket sales for the 2019 World Soccer Stars event.
Barcelona's Former star footballer from Carles Puyol is all set to visit Pakistan for not just the promotion but the official commence ticket-sale of World Soccer Stars event which is set to be held between 26 to 29 April this year.
Former football player Carles Puyol Saforcada will arrive in Karachi on March 16 and after his arrival, Puyol will head to Dolmen Mall of Karachi where he will promote the event from 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM.
Former Barca player, also known as ‘the wall’, in a video message, said that “Karachi, I look forward to seeing you all and I am really excited to meet all my fans in Pakistan”. “World Soccer Stars presents a great opportunity to celebrate the arrival of football and from what I know football is the next emerging sport in Pakistan,” he further added.
World Soccer Stars is a project of TouchSky Group who is also responsible for bringing various stars to Pakistan as the country had the honor to invite Luis Figo, Ricardo Kaka and Nicolas that happily accept the invitation and already had been to Pakistan for the same cause. However, this time, not only a star footballer is coming for only the promotion but also for the official ticket-sale commencement of this event.
Two exhibition matches will be played between Lahore and Karachi respectively featuring some of the football heavyweights. The much-anticipated tournament will also feature a musical concert by the famed American singer Akon.
Carles Puyol Saforcada is a Spanish retired professional footballer who played his entire career for Barcelona. Mainly a central defender, he could also play on either flank, mostly as a right-back, and is regarded as one of the best defenders of his generation. He was Barcelona's Captain from August 2004 until his retirement in 2014, and appeared in 593 competitive matches for the club. He won 20 major titles, including six La Liga trophies and three Champions League titles.
