International Women Day Boxing Event 2019 concludes successfully
About 36 women boxers participated in this one-day International Women Boxing Event 2019 which successfully concluded at Ustad Ali Muhammad Qambrani Boxing Stadium (MABC) in Karachi.
International Women Day Boxing Event 2019 was organized by Sindh Boxing Association (SBA) who mark the significance of women in the existing society. About a total of 36 female boxers participated in this one day event.
From the very start the boxers were seen giving their all in the fights so as to earn top spot in the event as the final of the event comprised of 12 competitions according to which, Lyari Club stands at the top spot with claiming 6 gold medals, Jaan-Baaz and Pak Shaheen Club together won the second positions with clinching 3-3 gold medals.
In 36 KG weight category, Sajar from JBC defeated her opponent Bakhtawar from HABC convincingly by 3-0 while in the 42 KG weight category, MNBC's Shaleh beat Mahnoor of YLBC by 2-1. Similarly, 44 KG competitions saw the winner being YLBC's Iqra who won by a score difference of 2-1 against her opponent Guhar Tajj from JBC. Then PSBC fighter won over HABC by 2-1.

8. 69 KG: Sara 2-1 Saba
On this occasion, Sindh Olympic Association Secretary, Ahmed Ali Rajput was the honorable chief guest who said that as women are involved in various fields existing in our society, similarly women has significance and talent in the field of sports as well, without which the universe would never be completed. And for a better society, it is necessary that a woman should stand and work equally with a man.
Pakistan Boxing Federation Vice President, Asghar Baloch, Women Wing Joint Secretary, Farzana Yousaf, Women International Boxing's Razia Bano, South Boxing Association (SBA) President, Rassol Baksh and a sizable number of women audience was also present.
While the Referee Generals who supervised the matches were Fida Hussain, Sher Muhammad, Murad Baksh, Adnan Afridi and Noor Badshah.
