64th Pakistan Railways Annual Inter-Divisional Athletics Championship 2019 starts today
Multan Division will defend the title in the 64th Pakistan Railways Annual Inter-Divisional Athletics Championship that will commence at the Railways Stadium, Garhi Shahu.
Multan Division will defend the title in the 64th Pakistan Railways Annual Inter-Divisional Athletics Championship that will commence at the Railways Stadium, Garhi Shahu, from Friday (today). Railway Board Secretary Sikandar Sultan Raja will inaugurate the Championship.
More than 400 male and female athletes from all nine divisions of Railways will participate in the two-day Championship. The divisions are Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Workshop, Railways Police, Multan, Sukkur, Quetta, and Karachi.
Men will contest in 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 5000, and 10,000 metres races, 110 metres (hurdle), 400 metres (hurdle), 4x100 metres relay race and 4x400 metres relay race. There will also be competitions of long jump, high jump, triple jump, shot put, discus throw and javelin throw.
Women athletes will contest in the disciplines of 100, 200, 400, and 800 metres race, 4x100 metres relay race. They will also compete in long jump, discus throw, and javelin throw.
