Ski team leaves for Lebanon tomorrow
The national ski team will leave for Lebanon on Thursday to participate in the 25th edition of Alpine Asian Boys Ski Championship.
According to a press release issued by the Pakistan Ski Federation (PSF), around 14 Asian countries are participating in the championship which will be starting at Mazar ski resort on Tuesday.
It stated that Waqas Azam of the Civil Aviation Authority will lead the team which comprises Zahid Ali Khan, Fazal Wadood and Mohamamd Suleman.
The statement quoted the captain of the team Waqas as saying that morale of the team was very high after practice session at Naltar Ski Resort.
He said the recent Winter Games held at Naltar provided all participating players a good chance of learning.
He said Alpine Asian Ski Championship could not be taken easy as Japan, China, Turkey and Iran were also featuring in the event.
