As many as 16 matches were decided in different age categories as the PC Lahore Tennis Championship is in full swing at the Bagh-i-Jinnah courts, Lahore.
All the matches in men’s singles pre-quarter-final were decided in straight ways. Mian Bilal, Salman Ayaz, Faizan Khurram, Hadi Hussain, Imran Bhatti, Fayyaz Khan, Ashar Ali and Hassan Riaz all won their respective matches to enter the quarter-final stage.
Earlier, Mr Roy Kappenberger, GM PC Hotel Lahore formally inaugurated the tournament. Secretary Punjab Lawn Tennis Association Rashid Malik, who is also a former Davis Cupper, said that the competitions in the tournament were being held in seven different junior age categories and a good number of players had responded. He said the PLTA had organised a record number of tournaments in the year 2018-19 and still more tournaments were in the pipeline.
