Both teams have so far played eight matches each as Quetta Gladiators have won six and lost just two while Peshawar Zalmi have gone through four wins and as many defeats in the fourth edition of the PSL.
Shane Watson is confident Quetta Gladiators can win the HBL Pakistan Super for the first time – even if he is unavailable for the final stage of the competition himself.
Quetta secured a place in the playoff phase, as they went back to the top of the table with a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Peshawar Zalmi at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Watson led the way, with 91 not out in 55 balls, winning the man of the match award, and stretching ahead at the top of the tournament’s run-scoring charts in the process.
They are followed by Islamabad United, who remained third with eight points and an NRR of 0.12).
