Faizan 'The Grenade' Khan suffers injury in ONE Championship: Warrior Series
Faizan Khan was up against his Thai counterpart Saharat Khongsawat in ONE Championship: Warrior Series in Singapore, where, due to an injury, he could not continue his fight.
Another MMA star of Pakistan, Faizan 'The Grenade' Khan, who holds a record of 3-2-2 (Win-Loss-Draw) competed in One championship: Warrior Series in the Flyweight category in which his opponent belonged to Thailand namely: Saharat Kongsawat.
The fight was scheduled to be 3 rounds of 5 minutes under MMA rules in which the 27 year old fighter, Faizan Khan dominated the fight in striking as well as on the ground until he suffered a self sustained shoulder injury while punching his opponent by the end of round 1 due to which he was not able to continue the fight any further.
This was Faizan's 7th professional MMA fight, who trains out of Fight Fortress in Islamabad.
The ONE Warrior Series is an off-shoot series of ONE Championship, the biggest MMA promotion in Asia, and is run by Rich Franklin. The series goal is to “help identify and cultivate the legends of tomorrow.” Franklin himself is a three-time Mixed Martial Arts Middleweight World Champion, who has competed professionally for 13 years. He used his experience of the sport to elevate ONE Championship to new heights since joining as a Vice President in 2014.
