Peshawar Zalmi in a surprise move went on top of the Points Table after defeating Multan Sultans by seven wickets in the 19th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019.
The Zalmi have obtained eight points with a net run rate of 0.973 from their six matches, winning four and losing two matches in the fourth edition of PSL.
They are followed by Islamabad United (eight points with an NRR of 0.145) and Quetta Gladiators (eight points with an NRR of 0.021).
After enjoying week-long top position, Quetta Gladiators came dawn to third spot at the points table as they were thrashed by Lahore Qalandars in the 17th match. It was their second successive defeat in their sixth match. They have so far won four and lost two matches with eight points having a net run rate of 0.021.
Islamabad United are followed by Peshawar Zalmi (placed second), Quetta Gladiators at third spot, Lahore Qalandars remained at fourth with six points from seven matches, while Karachi Kings (fifth) improved position on PSL points table and Multan Sultans remained at sixth place.
