Pakistan bags 3 bronze medals in 9th Asian Taekwondo Clubs Championships
Shahzaib Khan, Mahmood Khan and Muhammad Iqbal won bronze medals in their respective weight categories in the 2019 edition of Asian Taekwondo G-1 Event Clubs Championships which concluded successfully at the Olympics Sports Center of Kish Island in Iran.
According to the reports of Taekwondo Public Relations Department, the 9th Asian Taekwondo Clubs Championships was held in the Olympics Sports Center, Kish Island in Iran with the presence of athletes in 11 teams from Iran which fielded 3 clubs namely, Shahrdari Varamin, Azad University and CAN club along with 2 clubs from Pakistan that were Red and Green Clubs, IRAQ's Albasrah and Police clubs and lastly, 2 clubs from Syria named; Eagles and Syria Clubs.
At the end of the competitions, the Islamic Azad University club of Iran proudly stood on the top of the championship having scooped five gold, two silver and one bronze medals. The Iranian sportsmen had garnered 749 points. Police (Iraq), Albasrah (Iraq), Green (Pakistan), Challenging (Syria), Red (Pakistan), Majan and Eagles (Syria) clubs stood at 4th to 11th ranks of the tournament.
Shahzaib Khan, Mahmood Khan and Muhammad Iqbal are the three talented taekwondo players that made the country proud once again as they managed to gather 3 bronze medals each, in their respective categories with their hard efforts and best of fighting skills.

Asian Clubs Championship has the 1G grade and 10, 6 and 3.6 points are awarded to gold, silver and bronze medalists in order to increase the participating players' Olympics Rankings.
