2nd Quaid-E-Azam Wushu Cup commences today
Various fighters will compete in about 7 different weight categories in this two-day Quaid-E-Azam Wushu Cup 2019 which is scheduled to begin from today and will continue till tomorrow at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall in Lahore.
The second edition of Quaid-E-Azam Wushu Cup is being organized by Divisional and District Sports Office Lahore under the supervision of Sports Board Punjab. Nadeem Sarwar, Director General Sports Punjab in a statement said,“The game of Wushu is getting rapid popularity among the young generation. Punjab is enriched with Wushu talent and Sports Board Punjab will continue its efforts to polish this valuable talent”.
Both male and female players of all nine divisions of Punjab will be show casing their best of fighting skills as the male players will have their fights in -42 KG, -44 KG, -48 KG, -52 KG, -56 KG, -60 KG and -65 KG weight categories. While the female fighters will have competitions in -48 KG, -52 KG and -56 KG weight categories. Boys will also take part in the Nan Quan Talu and Chang Quan events during this competition.
The second Quaid-E-Azam Wushu Cup will be held at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall Lahore starting from today and this competition will continue till the next day i.e. 27th February. Secretary Sports Punjab Nadeem Mehboob will grace the inaugural ceremony of the 2-day exciting event being competed under the banner of Sports Board Punjab (SBP) for which a colorful opening ceremony will be held at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall starting from 07:00 PM today.
