Model Town Club claims 22nd Tauseef Trophy Cricket Championship
Model Town Club won the 22nd edition of Tauseef Trophy Cricket Championship by one point after beating New Iteefaq Club by eight wickets at the Model Town ground in Lahore.
A fine all-round performance by Saad Nasim was the main highlight of the final match which was played two leading teams of the championship that are: Model Town Club and Iteefaq Club.
With the victory, Model Town Club aggregated 42 points, while Apallo Club contesting closely remained second with 41 points. Al-Bilal Club with 31 points and New Iteefaq Club with 26 points are standing on third and fourth positions, respectively.
While the 2019 Tauseef Trophy Cricket Championship prize holders include: Muhammad Saleem blonging to the winning team, Model Town Club was declared best Batsman and the best Bowler title went to Muhammad Rameez from Apallo Club. Ali Sikander of Albilal Club was also awarded with the title of best All Rounder and last but not the least, New Iteefaq Club's Furqan Ahmed was declared the best Wicket-Keeper.
