Former Asian No.1 Huzaifa Ibrahim crown Inter School Squash Tournament 2019

Huzaifa Ibrahim lived up to his reputation while registering straight victory over Huraira Zafar to clinch the under-15 title in the PAF Base Malir Inter-school squash tournament at the Officers Mess court, Karachi.

Former Asian No.1 Huzaifa Ibrahim lived up to his reputation while registering straight victory over Huraira Zafar to clinch the under-15 title in the PAF Base Malir Inter-school squash tournament which concluded at the Officers Mess court, Karachi. 

Talented Huzaifa of DHA SKBZ School accounted for his opponent with the final score line of 11-6, 11-8, 11-4 to win the honours. Earlier, he was home against Ammar Ali 11-6, 11-5, 11-4 while Huraira overcome stiff challenge from Anus Dilshad before winning 11-9, 11-8, 8-11, 9-11, 11-7 in the two semi-finals. 

13 year old squash sensation Huzaifa has won numerous trophies and gold medals that include three consecutive wins at the Japan Junior Open Squash Championship, a win at Houston Junior International Squash Championship 2017, Washington DC Gold Junior squash open 2017, Malaysian CMS Borneo Junior Open International Squash Championship 2017 (Gold Medal).

Labeeb Butt and Muhammad Zaman captured the under-13 and under-11 titles respectively. Meanwhile, the team event title went to Fazaia School Faisal who defeated The City School PAF Chapter 2-1 in the final. 

The secretary of Sindh Squash Association (SSA) Rashid Ahmed graced the final and gave away the prizes along with Base Commander PAF Base Malir Air Cdre Hussain Ahmed Siddiqui.

Final results:

U-11: Muhammad Zaman (St.Michael School) bt Adnan Zaman (St.Michael School) 11-7, 11-8, 11-9).

U-13: Labeeb Butt (Fazaia Malir) bt Abdul Basit (Fazaia Faisal) 11-8, 11-6, 8-11, 9-11, 11-6.

U-15: Huzaifa Ibrahim (DHA SKBZ School) bt Huraira Zafar (Fazaia Faisal) 11-6, 11-8, 11-4.

Team event final:
Fazaia School Faisal bt The City School PAF Chapter 2-1.

Huraira Zafar bt Rohan Amjad 11-4, 11-6, 11-3;
Abdul Basit lost to Azyan Hussain 6-11, 4-11, 11-8, 7-11;
Ibrahim Saqib bt Affan Sheikh 11-4,11-4,11-3.
