Lahore RFC to meet Islamabad Jinns in 6th Servis Tyres 15s Rugby Championship finale
Lahore and Islamabad Rugby Footbal Clubs will compete against each other to earn the title of 6th Servis Tyres 15s Rugby Championship in the final that will be played on 24th February at Pakistan Rugby Academy in Lahore.
The most recent match into this championship was also played between Lahore Rugby Football Club (RFC) and Islamabad Jinns in which it was Islamabad Jinns' boys who recorded their second win through winning the match by 9 points. Islamabad Jinns thrashed Lahore RFC by 19-10 of the total score. Before this match, Lahore RFC was leading with two wins however, now Islamabad Jinns have equalized the score by registering their second win as well.
Pakistan Rugby Union has organized its main premier event of the year in its sixth edition this time and the event has been named as “6th Servis Tyres 15s Rugby Championship” with Servis Tyres being the title sponsors for the league yet again.
A total of 15 teams were seen struggling for the ultimate title gain in the championship and these teams are divided into four different divisions from which Quetta and Karachi are the new participating teams but now, only two meets have the chance to earn the title of the championship which are Lahore RFC and Islamabad Jinns.
Following was the teams' division:
- Division I teams: Lahore Rugby Football Club, Islamabad and Lahore Hawks.
- Division II teams: Desert Camels Bahwalnagar, Lodhran, Multan and Police.
- Division III teams: Shaheen Rugby football Club, Dunya Pur, Vehari and Kot Addu.
- Division IV teams: FATA, Khyber Pakhtumkhawa, Quetta and Karachi.
The finale of the championship will be played on 24th February at the Pakistan Rugby Academy in Lahore at 02:00 PM sharp.
