Shoaib, Yaseen, Afnan, Ashar move into 2nd qualifying round of All Pakistan KP junior Squash Championship 2019
The qualifying round of the National Junior Under-15 Boys and Girls Squash Championship got under way here at the PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex, Peshawar.
The qualifying round of the National Junior Under-15 Boys and Girls Squash Championship got under way here at the PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex, Peshawar.
The tournament is featuring more than 100 players in the U-15, U-9 and U-13 age group categories.The Championship carries a prize money of Rs. 100,000 according to Qamar Zaman, vice president of the Pakistan Squash Federation. He said the federation has fully focused on the junior age groups categories to provide ample opportunities to the upcoming players.
In the first day’s matches, Abdullah Khyber of Abbottabad beat Abu Zar 11-6, 9-11 and 11-3 while Mohammad Azhar Butt of Punjab defeated Haider Butt. In the girls’ event, Mahaira beat Mehvish by 11-3, 11-6 and 11-6.
Mr Daud Khan Secretary Irritation and Vice president KP Squash Association graced the ceremony as chief guest along Mr Qamar Zaman former World Squash Champion and President KP Squash Association Mr Atlas Khan Head Coach PAF Mr Wazir Khan, Sher Bahadur executive member coaches were also present.
