15th TCF Golf Tournament successfully concludes
Several golfers helped raise funds for education at TCF Golf Tournament 2019 which concluded successfully at Karachi Golf Club in Karachi.
The Citizens Foundation (TCF) organized the 15th edition of TCF Golf Tournament with the aim to raise funds for the education of less privileged children. This tournament bought together avid golfers of the city to play a friendly match in Texas Scramble format and the funds raised from the tournament are to enable more than 400 children from the low-income families to get quality education in TCF schools.
According to the latest Pakistan Education Statistics Report by AEPAM, Ministry of Education Pakistan, there are 22.84 million children out of school. UNESCO’s latest published figures suggest Pakistan has the second highest number of out of school children globally after Nigeria.
“The education emergency in the country remains huge with almost half of Pakistan’s children being out of school. We need a collective effort to change this situation because every child has the right to quality education. TCF Golf Tournament is an event that we hold each year to highlight the education emergency and our efforts in educating the less privileged children,” Mushtaq Chapra, Founder Director of The Citizens Foundation said.
The winning team in Net category includes, Ahmed J Siddiqui, Khurram Khan, Asad I A Khan and Arshad I A Khan while the Gross category winning team includes, Khalid J Siddiqui, Ali Ahmed Khan, Navaid Ali and Zahid Ebrahim.
This event was hugely sponsored by a number of well known brands such as: Faysal Bank and Bank Al Habib
who were the gold sponsors then the silver sponsors included, Toyota, Premier Insurance, Habib Metro and Sapphire. While the Media Partners were, Geo Sports, Jang Media Group and FM 91 @ Karachi Golf Club.
