Aisam-ul-Haq along Santiago move into quarters of New York Open 2019
Unseeded pair of Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi along partner Santiago Gonzalez defeated wildcard American duo of Brendan Evans & John Isner by 2-0 to move into the quarterfinal of New York Open in USA.
The unseeded pair of Aisam and Santiago, ranked 67th and 57th, respectively, easily defeated wildcard American duo of Brendan Evans & John Isner by 2-0 in 55 minutes battle to move into the quarterfinal of the New York Open in USA.
In 27 minutes struggle of opening set, both the pair started the match on a positive note as they hold their serves while PAK-Mexican pair gave tough time to USA pair with some good serving as they gave away no easy points on their serve and built pressure on the opposition which resulted as they easily break forth serve to seal the first set by 6-3.
In the second set Aisam & Santiago gave hard time to Brendan & Isner pair as easily broke first two serve of opponents, Isner who is currently No 9 in the world and No 1 American player on the circuit while PAK-Mexico pair breezed to 4-0 and kept playing aggressively to the match and the set at 6-2 in just 28 minutes.
Today, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi & Santiago González will face third seed England pair of Luke Bambridge & Jonny O'Mara in the quarterfinal of ATP 250 event New York Open.
