Usman Club books place in Kashmir Basketball Cup 2019 semis

Usman Club made their way into the semi-final stage of Kashmir Basketball Cup 2019 by winning on a close call against Burns Road Gymkhana 43-38 at Arambagh Basketball Court in Karachi.

The first quarter-final game played between Usman Club and Burns Road Gymkhana basketball teams witnessed Usman Club players, as a whole working hard enough to earn the victory by defeating the opponents by their thrilling performance on 43-38.

It was a much deserved victory for the winning team as the players from the opponents side were also making good efforts to earn the place in the semi-final stage of the tournament as well but failed due to the superb blocking of Usman Club players.  

Their key players proved to be Hamza Khwaja and Faizan Yousuf as they both scored top points, dubbing 12 points right into the basket and Haris Khan and Daniyal furthure enhanced the lead by making 6 and 8 accurate shots. 

For the losing side, Mazhar Shaukat  who managed an incredible score of 18 points by the well assistance of Rafae Salah Ud Din and Nauman Ali who both scored 7 points each but even with their much appreciate-able efforts, the team was not able to make their way into the semi-final stage of the tournament.  

The 2019 Kashmir Basketball Cup is being organized by Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) in collaboration with Pakistan Sports Welfare Association in two different categories of seniors and juniors. 

Pakistan XI basketball team was the first team to mark their first win in the tournament as the team defeated the opponents, Kashmir XI by 40-39 score line.
