Zaim FC qualifies for Leisure Leagues Karachi Intra-City Championship 2019

The Zaim FC's team remained unbeaten in the eight-team league of the ongoing Leisure Leagues Season 5 and claimed the event’s title after accumulating 11 points here at 16-Star Ground in Karachi.

Zaim FC proved its team strength as they won the Leisure Leagues Season 5 league. Zaim FC won four of its seven matches while drew the remaining three to finish on top of the league’s chart and by winning this league the club has also qualified for the Leisure Leagues Karachi Intra-City Championship which will be held in April this year.

Meanwhile, FC Evolution also won four of its seven matches in the league but drew two and lost one to pile up 10 points to finish second at the league’s podium. FC Evolution has also qualified for the Intra-City Championship. RF United also accumulated 10 points but could not make it to the Intra-City Championship as FC Evolution had a better goal difference of 11 goals as compared to its 7 goals. 

Apart from Zaim FC, FC Evolution and RF United, Ney Magic, Revolution, Tabahi United, Warriors and Bismillah FC were in the league.

Whereas Junooni FC, Glory Days, North Muslim FC, North Youngs FC, G.A. Lal FC, Orangi Folks, Shah Faisal FC, Qaqdri Sports and United FC have already qualified for Leisure Leagues Karachi Intra-City Championship 2019 all of these teams have won other eight-team leagues held earlier at different venues. 

The Intra-City Championship will be held in different cities of the country and the winning teams of this championship will qualify for the Leisure Leagues National Championship 2019 – tentatively to be held in July this year. Then the winning team of Leisure Leagues National Championship 2019 will represent Pakistan in the second edition of Socca World Cup, which is to be held in Greece in October later this year. 

Leisure Leagues is endeavoring to hold its leagues in at least in 50 cities of the country in order to have impressive presence of teams from all over the country in the national finals. It will give opportunity to teams of remote areas as well to aim big, that is Socca World Cup in Greece. Leisure Leagues has so far reached 39 cities of the country. Last year, Lahore’s ICAW represented Pakistan in Socca World in Portugal.
