Rs. 2 Million Chevron DHA Karachi Cup All Pakistan Open Golf Championship 2019 tees off today

As many as 200 golfers will vie in this 4-day prestigious Chevron DHA Karachi Cup All Pakistan Open Golf Championship which will commence from today and will continue till 10th February at Defence Authority Country and Golf Club (DAC&GC), Karachi.

The 2019 edition of Chevron DHA Karachi Cup All Pakistan Open Golf Championship is being organized under the supervision of Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) featuring about more than 200 golfers who will be up against each other so as to earn top honors in the championship. Pakistan’s top professionals will also be participating among which Matloob Ahmed of Lahore looks to defend his title as in the last year’s edition of this championship, Matloob was in full flow as he won the title by 4 strokes ahead of Pakistan’s No. 1 Shabbir Iqbal. The other professionals and amateurs from all over the country will be a part of the event as well.  

The main contest will feature Professionals and Amateurs which will be played over 54 holes from February 8 to 10 while more contests for Senior Professionals, Seniors, Veterans, Ladies, Juniors and Masters will also be held in due time. This championship carries a prize purse of Rupees 2 million of which Chevron Pakistan Lubricants (Private) Limited, a manufacturer and distributor of premium lubricants in Pakistan, is largely sponsoring this event and thus is the title sponsor of it as well.  

At a press conference held at the DAC&GC, Mr. Muhammad Najam Shams Ud Din, Country Chairman & Area Business Manager, Chevron Pakistan Lubricants (Private) Limited reiterated his company’s commitment towards the promotion of sports in Pakistan.
