University of Lahore claims All Pakistan Inter-varsity 7s Rugby Championship 2019
University of Lahore thrashed University of Central Punjab by 25-0 in the final of 2019 All Pakistan Inter-varsity 7s Rugby Championship which was held at University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in Lahore.
The All Pakistan Inter-varsity 7s Rugby Championship 2019 was organized under the supervision of Pakistan Rugby Union and according to the information provided by Pakistan Rugby Services Manager, Syed Mozzam Ali Shah, this event featured about 15 teams belonging to different universities.
Participating teams are namely stated below:

4. FC University
5. GC University
6. Swabi University
7. University of Veterinary
8. University of Central Punjab
9. University of Management & Technology
10. BZU Multan
11. Fast Islamabad
12. Superior University

15. University of Lahore
After league matches, 4 top teams qualified for the semifinal in which the first semifinal game saw Punjab University completely crushing the FC College University by 26-0 while the second semifinal witnessed University of Lahore's win over University of Central Punjab as the boys of the winning team registered a convincing 25-0 victory and claimed the title of the championship.
But even at this close defeat for University of Central Punjab, the boys managed to etch their name on the 3rd position in the overall championship by crushing the opponent team, FC College University on 31-0 score-line. Thus, FC College University stands on the 4th spot.
At this mega Rugby event, Sajjad Hyder Registrar UVAS was the honorable chief guest along with Professor Azam, Dean MBA Dept, who also awarded trophies to the teams and players for their high achievement in the championship.
President Rugby Club UVAS, Rao Ijaz, PRU Head Coach Shakeel Malik, PRU Rugby Services Manager, Syed Mozzam Ali Shah, PRU Accounts Head, Asim Ali were also present at this event.
