Darren Sammy Arrives in Pakistan for 2017 Champions Zalmi’s Kit and Anthem Launch
Peshawar Zalmi’s captain, Darren Sammy, who is known for his friendly nature has landed in Pakistan for the official kit and anthem launch of his franchise.

The West Indian all-rounder landed at the New Islamabad Airport earlier today and has now reached Peshawar to participate in the launch ceremony.
Peshawar Zalmi’s chairman, Javed Afridi received one of the most prolific players in the Pakistan Super League. Going by the name of Darren Sammy Khan, among his PSL fans, the cricketer will also visit the Army Public School in Peshawar to show solidarity with the students for the horrific APS incident that took place back in 2014.
A ceremony will also be held in honor of the cricketer at the Governor House in Peshawar.
Darren Sammy led his team to victory in the 2017 edition of the PSL and he has a massive fan following in Pakistan for his efforts to revive international cricket in the country.
The most successful team in HBL PSL’s brief history is Islamabad United, which won titles in 2016 and 2018 and holds a success percentage of 59.67 after winning 19 out of 32 matches.
2017 champions Peshawar Zalmi are the second most successful team, with 19 victories in 34 games. Two-time losing finalists Quetta Gladiator (56.66) are third, with 17 wins out of 31 matches.
Two-time HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Champion, Islamabad United will kick off their title defense against Lahore Qalandars in the tournament opener in Dubai on Feb 14. The match is expected to be a sensational and eye-catching opening ceremony.
