University of Peshawar & Govt Collage Peshawar win Inter-College Games 2019
Govt College Peshawar and University of Peshawar win the trophy of the University of Peshawar Annual Inter-College Games which concluded here at University Campus, Peshawar.
Govt College Peshawar and University of Peshawar win the trophy of the University of Peshawar Annual Inter-College Games which concluded here at University Campus, Peshawar.
Government College Peshawar claimed the winners trophies of the Handball, Kabaddi, volleyball and athletics, and got runners-up trophies of football, hockey, tennis while securing third position in badminton.
University of Peshawar claimed first position in squash, hockey, basketball, runners-up position in badminton, and third position in cricket, football, handball, kabaddi, tug of war and athletics. Government College Peshawar got 38 points and similarly University of Peshawar took 38 points, thus it was decided to award the general trophy for six month each team.
Govt Degree College Matra got third position after winning winners trophies in badminton, cricket and got runners-up position in handball, and athletics. Govt College Landikotal won the football title, Govt Degree College MSc Charsadda while Edwards College Peshawar took runners-up trophy and Govt Degree College Achini Payan took third position in Tennis and squash.
Shehzad Khan of Govt College Peshawar was declared as best athletes who won gold medals in 100m, 200m, 400m and triple jump. In the 800m Muhammad Asif won gold medal, followed by Shayan Khan and Jamal Khan, in the 1500m Muhammad Asif of Matra College won gold medal, followed by Shayan Khan of GCP and Jamal Khan of GCMS Charsadda, in 300m Muhammad Asif got gold medal, Muhammad Jalal of Charsadda and Fawad og GC Hayatabad.
In the 500m Muhammad Asif of Matra College won gold medal, Muhammad Jalal and Fawaz Khan, in 110m hurdle Hamza Akhtar won gold medal, followed by Shehzad Khan and Anas Khan, in 400 hurdle Shehzad Khan won gold medal, followed by Sikandar and Muhammad Shayan, in shot put Sana Ullah took gold medal, followed by Rizwan Ullah and Atiq Ahmad,
In Javelin throw Haseel won gold medal, followed by Rizwan Ullah and Asim Ali, discuss throw Salman Khan won gold medal, followed by Sana Ullah and Rizwan Ullah, in triple jump Shehzad Khan, Inam Ullah and Hamza Akhtar won silver and bronze medals.
In long jump Inam, Noor Saeed and Hamza won gold medals, silver medal and bronze medals respectively, in the high jump Hamza Akhtar won gold medal, followed by Ali Muhammad and Shehzad.
At the end, the chief guest gave away trophies and cash prizes. The best player was awarded Rs. 5000. Dean Faculty of Islamic and Oriental Studies, University of Peshawar Professor Dr. Miraj Ul Islam Zia and Secretary Irrigation KP Daud Khan, President PUTA Professor Dr. Fazli Nasir, President Annual Sports Committee Professor Muhammad Saeed Khan, Coordinator China Culture Center, Peshawar Amjad Aziz Malik, players and officials were also present on this occasion.
