Hadi to face Bilal in Farrukh Khan Memorial Punjab Open Tennis Championship final
Hadi Hussain will meet Mian Bilal while Noor Malik will take on Rahat Javed in the men’s and ladies’ singles finals of Lt. Gen. Farrukh Khan Memorial Punjab Open Tennis Championship after winning their respective semi-finals at the Punjab Lawn Tennis Association courts, Lahore.
Hadi Hussain will meet Mian Bilal while Noor Malik will take on Rahat Javed in the men’s and ladies’ singles finals of Lt. Gen. Farrukh Khan Memorial Punjab Open Tennis Championship after winning their respective semi-finals at the Punjab Lawn Tennis Association courts, Lahore.
Hadi sent Ahmad Waqas packing 6-4, 6-2 in just 23 minutes, while Bilal also drafted a convincing 6-3, 6-2 win against Zeeshan Ashraf to confirm his place in the final.
In the ladies’ semi-finals, Noor toppled Mariam Mirza ruthlessly 6-0, 6-0. The second semi between Rahat and Shimza Durab was called off due to bad light.
Before the finals on Wednesday, Pakistan veteran Aisam-ul-Haq will pair up with former Davis Cupper and now secretary PLTA Rashid Malik for an exhibition match against Mohammad Abid and Waqas Malik.
The U-18 and seniors 35-plus doubles finals will also be played on Wednesday.
